This part of the T4 line grew up around its station and shopping strip on Morts Road, and the housing still tells that story.

Established from 1885 and built out heavily for returning soldiers in the 1920s, Boundary Road and Balmoral Road still run rows of solid double-brick cottages, mixed in with 1950s shopfronts that once served the growing suburb.
